Welcome to Articulink. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and online speech therapy services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services Overview
Articulink provides online pediatric speech therapy services through licensed speech-language pathologists (SLPs). Our services include evaluations, therapy sessions, and parent consultations delivered via secure video conferencing.
2. Eligibility
To use our services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be the parent or legal guardian of the child receiving services
- Have the legal authority to consent to treatment for your child
- Reside in a state where we are licensed to provide services
- Have access to a device and internet connection suitable for video sessions
3. Consent to Treatment
By enrolling in our services, you consent to the evaluation and treatment of your child by our licensed speech-language pathologists. You understand that:
- Speech therapy services will be provided via teletherapy (online video sessions)
- You have the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time
- Results may vary and are not guaranteed
- You are encouraged to participate in sessions and follow home practice recommendations
4. Payment Terms
Payment Due at Scheduling: Payment is collected at the time of scheduling your appointment. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards.
Private Pay: We are a private pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. You are responsible for full payment of services regardless of any potential insurance reimbursement.
Pricing: Current pricing is available on our Pricing page. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.
5. Cancellation Policy
We understand that schedules change. However, we ask that you respect our therapists' time by providing adequate notice:
- 24+ hours notice: Full refund or reschedule at no charge
- Less than 24 hours notice: Session fee may be forfeited
- No-shows: Session fee will be forfeited
We will work with families on a case-by-case basis for emergencies and extenuating circumstances.
6. Technology Requirements
You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary technology for online sessions:
- A device with a camera and microphone (computer, tablet, or smartphone)
- Stable internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps recommended)
- A quiet, private space for sessions
- Updated web browser compatible with our video platform
Technical difficulties may occasionally occur. If a session cannot be completed due to technical issues, we will work with you to reschedule.
7. Scope of Services
Our services are limited to speech-language therapy. We do not provide:
- Medical diagnosis or medical treatment
- Psychological or psychiatric services
- Emergency or crisis intervention services
- Services outside our scope of practice
If we identify concerns outside our scope of practice, we will provide appropriate referrals.
8. Confidentiality
We take your privacy seriously. All client information is kept confidential in accordance with HIPAA regulations and our Privacy Policy. Information may only be shared with your written consent or as required by law.
9. Parent/Guardian Responsibilities
To support your child's progress, you agree to:
- Ensure your child attends scheduled sessions
- Provide a suitable environment for online sessions
- Supervise your child during sessions as appropriate for their age
- Complete recommended home practice activities
- Communicate openly with your therapist about concerns or changes
- Notify us of any changes in your child's health or circumstances
10. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and materials, is owned by Articulink and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without permission.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Articulink shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for services.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate services at any time. We reserve the right to discontinue services if:
- There is a pattern of missed appointments or late cancellations
- Payment obligations are not met
- There is inappropriate behavior toward our staff
- Services are no longer clinically appropriate
Upon termination, we will provide appropriate referrals and transfer of records as requested.
13. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
