Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our services

General

We provide speech therapy services for children ages 2 through 18. Our therapists are experienced in working with toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, and teenagers.

If your child has difficulty being understood, struggles to express ideas, has trouble following directions, or shows frustration when communicating, a speech-language evaluation can help determine if therapy is right for them. We offer free initial consultations to discuss your concerns.

Sessions

Standard sessions are 30 minutes for younger children (ages 2-5) and 45 minutes for older children (ages 6+). Session length is tailored to your child's attention span and therapeutic needs.

Most children benefit from 1-2 sessions per week. The frequency is determined during the initial evaluation based on your child's specific needs and goals. We regularly reassess and adjust as your child progresses.

Absolutely! We encourage parent involvement. You're welcome to observe sessions and we'll provide you with strategies and activities to practice between sessions. Parent engagement is one of the biggest factors in successful outcomes.

Pricing

We are a private pay practice, which means we don't bill insurance directly. This allows us to focus on your child's needs without insurance restrictions or approval delays. Many families find that our rates are comparable to insurance copays, especially with high-deductible plans. We accept HSA/FSA cards, which let you pay with pre-tax dollars for additional savings.

Getting Started

You'll need a device with a camera and microphone (computer, tablet, or smartphone) and a stable internet connection. We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform that works in most web browsers — no special software needed.

During the evaluation, our therapist will assess your child's speech, language, and communication skills through structured activities and play-based tasks. We'll also discuss your child's developmental history and your specific concerns. After the evaluation, we'll provide a detailed report with recommendations and a proposed treatment plan.
